Youth Mission Trip 2008

Cove Lake, Tennessee

During the week of July 23rd - 27th, 15 youth and 6 chaperones set out on a mission trip to Campbell County, TN.  We camped at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, TN.  During the week we did various volunteer work projects for the local mission in Campbell County.  We began the mission by joining a youth group at a local church near Cove Lake during their worship time and bible study.  The rest of the week consisted of numerous work projects in which we divided the youth group into smaller groups to accomplish as much needed work as we possibly could.  We had a great time together, had a little fun along the way, half a day swimming on Friday, watched a movie on Saturday night, had Chelsey our new youth director share a devotion on Saturday night, and topped the week off with our own Mike Hall bringing us a wonderful message on Sunday.  Thank you Bookwalter for supporting your youth and praying for our mission trip this week.  We have grown a lot closer together and have made new friends by giving of ourselves in God's mission.  Below are some highlights of our time together, click on the pictures to see a larger image.
